Participating in the Collaborative Action Research Network (CARN) Conference
Excited to participate as a speaker at the Collaborative Action Research Network (CARN) Conference on "Strategic Integration of Case Studies for Enhanced Pedagogical Outcomes" at Malmö University on October 24-26, 2024. The seminar will focus on using case studies to improve teaching outcomes and align educational goals with global objectives. For the past decade at Malmö University and the Royal Danish Academy, I have incorporated global case studies from NGOs and institutions into my teaching to promote equity, digital resilience, accessibility, and sustainability. My approach employs interdisciplinary research methods like participatory methods, action research, and collaborations, supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I will discuss specific case studies such as High5Girls, Maternity Foundation, and Toilets for All to enhance academic and practical learning. The results align with Malmö University’s vision and demonstrate the real-world impact of academic work. I aim to encourage educators from various fields to reconsider the value of case studies in addressing global and environmental challenges in their teaching.
